The evaluation procedure in detail:

Submission: Send your game proposal directly to the address of PROJEKT SPIEL. If the game material do not fit into a  large envelope, please first send only the rules and a  picture of your game by email or ordinary mail. Do not forget to indicate your postal address in any case! A parcel containing a complete playable version of the game (prototype) should only be sent when you are requested to do so. See also Checklist.

Evaluation fee: A fee is to be paid by the submitter for the evaluation of any game concept, irrespective of how you send it – also by email. This fee is used to finance a part of the costs for handling, work and return shipment and has the added function of guaranteeing that only serious submissions will be considered for evaluation. Without payment of the fee, there is no right of the return of your documents. Of course, you get a confirmation and receipt after the payment and your documents have arrived. See also Fees.

Protecting your copyright: Of course, we respect your copyright (intellectual property rights). We will not make use of the submitted documents or pass them to any third party without a contractual agreement with you. Such a declaration is part of the receipt that will be sent out automatically. Please note: We do not sign nondisclosure agreements in advance.

Evaluation and pre-selection: At the center of the test are the criteria of originality and playing fun, functionality, feasibility and suitability of selected publishers’ product lines. PROJEKT SPIEL makes a pre-selection based on long experience. It is part of our service to optimize the game when needed to increase  the chances of being accepted – always in consulta- tion with you, of course.

Under Checklist you will find all information about this service in detail.

Under Fees you will find an overview about all charges of this service.

Under FAQ you will find further information and useful links.

Choose "Ravensburger" or "Licensing Agency": Indicate the relevant key word in the accompanying letter. You may choose whether to have the game evaluated exclusively for Ravensburger first, or directly for the Licensing Agency.

Duration of evaluation: The evaluation that takes place through PROJEKT SPIEL is completed within eight weeks, usually less. In exceptional cases (fairs, vacation, time-consuming tests, etc.) it may take a little longer. Subsequent testing periods by the publisher are not considered here.

Return and report: Game proposals, judged by the publisher or by the agency, that have been evaluated as not suitable or lacking originality will be returned to the sender. The return of your documents includes an evaluation report of your game proposal – if possible, with instructions to give you support for further developments.
